FInally... an update

Its about that time ladies and gentlemen...the season is officially over for everyone. Section 1 had an outstanding performance at the NYS tournament this past weekend in Albany. Section 1 finished 2nd in D1 with 7 state finalist and 4 champs!

IWC had a good showing at sections with a total of 15 place winners. Congrats to all IWC wrestlers for an awesome season. Big congrats to Jacob Berkowitz for being IWC's first section champ! Jacob was the 4th seed at the state tournament, but fell short with some tough battles. Next year, he'll be on the hunt for that state title!

With that being said, it is time for us to get back work. I am waiting to hear on a confirmation, but as of right now we are looking at a start up of next Monday March 7th @ Louis M. Klein Middle School in Harrison. Practice will be from 5:30-7:30 Monday and Wednesday. THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL YET! I will provide updates as I receive them. Until I get confirmation, we will have to sit tight. The price of the spring session will be $125 per month or 3 months @ $325!! New location!

It has been awhile since we have updated Invictus athletes with some good news. We finally have a new spot! Practice will be starting on Monday Dec. 6th from 7-8:30pm @ North Rockland High School. The wrestling room is located in the boys locker room. During this session we will focus mainly on learning, sharpening, perfecting, new techniques, as we are aware that many of the techniques we teach are NOT taught in a typical practice room. This is a great opportunity to not only learn, but to drill with different and tougher guys. We understand that many wrestlers have the Section 1 duals on Monday, so if you cannot make it this Monday then we expect to see you the following Monday. We also know it may be a hassle for some of the Westchester wrestlers to get across the bridge, but car pooling is definitely doable. Many of you are from the same school or neighboring school, so we strongly encourage you to work out a car pool situation. We are only running one day per week and chose to go just on Mondays. Monday seems to not interfere with competitions and impacts school work the least. The cost of this session is only $50 per month! This is an absolute steal, so we expect a tremendous turnout. Before I forget, please bring your USA cards! Or purchase a new USA card if you did not renew yours this past August. Spread the word! Practice change- IMPORTANT

Practice will resume again on Monday, September 20th from 5-7pm. I know we had planned for September 13th, but we were unable to get into the room by then. Its a bummer, but we will work with it. The season will be here soon enough, so be prepared to work. See you on the 20th!

Practice for the reminder of the summer

As of right now, we are trying to get back into our Harrison location for the reminder of the summer. I am not sure if that is going to be possible, but I will keep everyone updated. In the event that we cannot get into Harrison, or find another spot for the reminder of the summer, we will definitely be in Harrison in September. Stay tuned!

Practice tomorrow

Silverback Duals 8/1/10

This weekend Invictus Wrestling took 4th at the Silverback duals. Not bad for having to forfeit 4 weight classes! We are taking a vacation week this week, so there is NO PRACTICE. Practice will resume next Monday 8/10. Practice will not be at Harrison High School for the remainder of the summer. I will have com formation on our new location early this week. As soon as we get the OKAY we will let everyone know. Enjoy your off week!
